Everything sounds so great in this, idk what to say. The fact that it's 5 minutes long and still not boring at all makes it even better

JamesHeart responds:

I was worried a bit about the length tbh so this is comforting!

im glad it keeps you entertained!!

I'm not very familiar with freedom planet but this is a great recreation, I don't have much to say.
All up to taste, but I feel like there's a slight global lack of bass in your version, while it feels a little "loaded" in other frequencies

Uuuum, well I guess it can fit certain situations, but I don't think anyone would like to listen to this for more than 20 seconds
Most "stressful" tracks in video games still have some sort of melody, chords and so on: something can still be stressful and feel "musical"
I'm not even sure if it's the kind of thing you're going for, but here's some example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MU-NTB-MI2s

Thanks for your input. It was really just a 8 bar thing I made in class, that I didn't have time to make longer, so I just looped it. I'll try to go back, and make it something more musical.

Very nice! Totally up to taste, but I think you put too much sidechain on the kick. Like, I get that he must have impact, but at 2:58 it's the only thing you can hear, really too distracting I think

This could literally fit any first town/area in any rpg perfectly so I guess even the title is quite fitting

Just listened to your 2 last tracks, and I must say "rism" sounds like a wip of this song. This one's great tho

GDPrism responds:

Thank you! Rism was an older song that I decided to add to the EP before I chose the names.

Well, sounds like a work in progress. Not bad, but now you can do a lot more I think. Add things, change things, develop things, go and make something bigger with that

I like a lot of things in this track, I don't know if it's because of the thing you made this track with but it doesn't sound very "wide" even when rising the volume up. The drums lack some impact too I think, like the kick is the only part of it that stands out a little
In terms of composing I really think it's almost flawless, all the negative comes more from the "sound" itself

Really nice? I don't know what to say... Everything sounds nice, nothing is out of place, progression is perfect... HmmmmmMMMM purely my opinion but maybe even add some variation in the drums? It's not even something I'm good at so I'm not sure

pichuscute0 responds:

Thanks for taking a listen and I'm glad you seem to like it. :)

I won't lie, I'm still feeling around in the dark a bit when it comes to drums in 3/4 time, too. You definitely could be right. I decided to take it a bit safe and go a little more minimal on that front this time. So, maybe next time I do something in 3/4, I'll give more dynamic drums are shot!

I think the lowest note you go to with your bass instrument is a bit too low for it and it becomes more a vibration than a note but otherwise everything is sounding pretty cool

wobwobrob responds:

Thanks Chepaki!

don't mind me, just trying to get gud at music
